Tourism Fund continuously support of various programs aimed at enhancing sustainability and development of the Tourism Sector. The Fund is guided by among others, the Tourism Act 2011, Vision 2030, National Tourism Strategy and its current strategic plan.
Tourism Fund, through the Capacity Building Department, has announced a training program in Nyeri, (including Laikipia East Subcounty, Laikipia County) aimed at enhancing the skills and capabilities for uncertified workers within the tourism industry. This initiative addresses the need to bridge the skills gap in the hotel industry through offering capacity-building opportunities for workers who have never had any formal training.
Training for industry leaders, covering business sustainability, contemporary trends, human resources, financial management, and statutory responsibilities is scheduled to take place on 10th December 2024 and 11th December 2024. This training targets the managers directors’ and owners. The venue for the training will be communicated in due course. Tourism Fund is inviting all tourism and hospitality sector stakeholders to partake in this transformative initiative. Registrations are currently ongoing
